When it comes to choosing your RC car in our shop, you’ll also need to think about battery life and maintenance. On the one hand, you don’t want to be running out of juice half-way into a race, or having to take long breaks for your car to recharge. On the other hand, you don’t want the hassle of having to constantly replace batteries because they burn out quickly.

Battery Life

High-end RC cars come with built-in feature like automatic shutoff systems which extend battery life and even offer safety protection if you ever flip your car over. Also, look for models that use Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries as these have longer charge cycles than regular Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries—which translates into longer playtime.

Maintenance

Not only can you choose an RC car whose batteries last longer, but there are options with less maintenance requirements as well. If you’re not into taking apart and rebuilding an RC car every time something goes wrong—which can be often if you’re an experienced racer—then look for ready-to-run models instead of buying individual parts that need assembly later.

While battery life and maintenance may not be the first things on your mind when buying an RC car, you should still take them into consideration during the selection process. After all, getting caught up in a race with no juice just after starting isn’t fun – especially when it could have been avoided by making the right choice from the start!
